I never thought that I’d be dealing with this hunger alone
And if I’m not being clear than just say so
I’m hard to deal with I know
But frankly you’ve never shown
Any patience for my bad habits

I do get restless unattended but I’m learning to deal
I guess you call this growing up but then explain why I feel
The only childhood belief I’ve lost is my sense of trust
The only way I’ve gotten older is that I think too much
I’m slowly surrounding myself with other like minded kids
And while we don’t have a lot we understand what it is
To be exhausted chasing dreams is not a phase
