I was born a firecracker
A tinkling grocery sacker
A dreamer and a slacker

I tell jokes to fill the silence
I'm nervous but I hide it
But I feel like a giant
When I get some laundry done
And I'm here in my apartment

And a boyfriend burn
And Mary's gone
Thank God I've got good friends
Things get kind of lonely
All in all they ain't that bad

And I drank with all the drunk ones
I wore those silly pearls
Just to make my grandma smile
I hated on my mother
Talked down to my father

I'm so glad they bother
To love me through hard times
I've got a glass of wine in my hand
And my sister on the phone
She told a guy got a big glass for me
And then she told me a dirty joke
My credit is getting better
All in all it ain't that bad

And I think I'm losing weight
It turns out the guy that he likes me crazy
