Once upon a time, there was a steep mountain
从前 有一座陡峭的山
Where a dragon used to live
那里曾经住着一条龙
A long time ago, a man told a lie. He said
很久以前 一个人撒了谎 他说
“I climbed that mountain to fight with the dragon
我曾经爬上过那座山去和那条龙斗争
Then I almost killed him.
后来我差点杀了它
But I missed. And he was huge and black”
但是我失手了 它又大又黑
He just wanted to be famous by
他只是想通过这个故事出名
This story and that’s why he lied
那也是他为什么撒这个谎
That unexpected story made the people amazed in the town
而这个出人预料的故事使镇上所有人都感到吃惊
The king of the land heard that story and,
这个地方的王听到了这个故事后
He gave him a reward
给了他奖励
That lie became a rumor
这个谎言变成了一个谣传
And the rumor spread to the whole country
传遍了整个国家
It ran, from the East to the West,
从东传到西
And the North to the South
从北传到南
Over many years, the rumor
多年以后
Was retold among the people
这个谣传仍被很多人复述
After a while
后来
A boy got inspiration from the story, then he said
一个男孩从这个故事中得到了鼓励 他说
“I want to be a hero like that”
我想成为那样的英雄
Then he went to that same mountain
后来他就去了那座山
It was a long journey,
这是一个很漫长的旅程
And it was very hot but he didn’t give up
天气很热但他不曾放弃
When the boy reached the top of the mountain
当这个男孩儿到达山顶
What he found was a huge white dragon,
他发现的是一条巨大的白龙
He was exhausted and injured
它精疲力尽且身负重伤
He threw away his sword
于是男孩儿扔掉了剑
Which he had sharpened for this fight
那把为斗争而磨尖的剑
He nursed the white dragon as best he could
他尽他所有力量照顾白龙
And the white dragon recovered
白龙日渐恢复
Day by day with the boys help
这多亏了这个男孩儿的帮助
After this the white dragon flew away into the sky
之后这条白龙飞向了天空
And the dragon’s scales came off,
它的鳞片撒落下来
Which became the snow
成为了雪
It was the first snow in the country ever
这是这个国家的第一场雪
That story became so famous all over the country
后来这个故事在整个国家都十分出名
From the East to the West,
从东到西
From the North to the South
从北到南
After many years
多年以后
People talked about that boy as a legend
人们都把那个男孩儿议论为一个传奇人物
Words are magical for a moment
言论在一段时间内很有魔力
