Fire In The Mountain - Long Distance Calling

[02:48.50]The man growing childish in old age,
[02:51.82]he begs the very fleas
[02:53.29]to persuade the guard to change his mind and allow him to enter.
[02:56.95]His sight has dimmed,
[02:58.26]but in the darkness he perceives a radiance
[03:01.00]streaming immortally from the door of the Law.
[03:06.06]And now, before he dies,
[03:08.58]all he's experienced condenses into one question, a question he's never asked.
[03:13.36]He beckons to the guard.
[03:14.42]Says the guard, "You are insatiable! What is it now?"
[03:18.09]Says the man, "Every man strives to attain the Law.“
[03:22.86]How is it then that in all these years, no one else has ever come here, seeking admittance?"
[03:31.60]His hearing has failed, so the guard yells into his ear,
[03:34.89]"No one else but you could ever have obtained admittance!“
[03:37.97]No one else could enter this door!
[03:40.86]This door was intended only for you!
