[00:11.36]And I've tried it for years but my symptoms remain 
[00:17.43]Still fretting the day that they'll misplace my name 
[00:20.31]Still selling my soul for American fame 
[00:23.60]Treating the promotion of Jesus like a well oiled machine 
[00:26.70]Adcing His kingdom just to snag some acclaim 
[00:34.68]Now, I'm both comforted and haunted that it isn't just me though 
[00:41.88]I see a nation of people needing to feed their own egos 
[00:45.41]Parading status like steeples 
[00:48.18]Do we not know it's evil to love ourselves more than both God 
[00:52.71]and His people? 
[00:54.33]
[00:57.46]But see, here's where you turn this poem on it's head 
[01:05.18]‘Cause the greatest among us came as sert instead 
[01:11.12]And You humbled Yourself to the point of Your death 
[01:17.11]Apparently love for the Father's glory runs red 
[01:24.25]So friends, will we point to the Son till our own flames grow dim? 
[01:29.74]Will our bright lights become merely nightlights near Him? 
[01:35.55]Words echo once, let them echo again 
[01:41.89]Be Thou exalted over my reputation
