Another day another dollar right
One more to sit and keep your mouth shut tight
It's not as if you've anything to say
Open up you'll find your words have run away
You head for home there's no trace on the bed
You're finally alone and you're not yet dead
The walls could use another coat or two
You can't think of anything better to do
How old is the sun
Is it worth sharing thoughts with anyone
Let it out 'til you exude
When the oceans rot so too will your blues
Sometimes you'll even try to force a smile
But with no one else around is it worth your while
A stiffness in the lifting of the cheeks
It feels it s been weeks and weeks and weeks and week
It all creeps slowly on you like a friend
Clusters here and there 'til there is no end
You're heavy a tree a bog a stone
For the flatness of it all you can't atone
