[00:14.16]On my fifth birthday, I got so upset, 
[00:20.37]About the brand new bike, that I didn't get. 
[00:26.28]I'd prayed my heart out, and it didn't seem fair, 
[00:32.35]I told my grandpa, I guess God doesn't care, 
[00:37.35]And he just smiled, and said my child,

[00:44.11]Make no mistake, every prayer you pray, 
[00:50.48]gets answered, even though, 
[00:56.76]sometimes, the answer is no.

[01:10.00]Five years later, out behind the shed, 
[01:16.58]With a stolen pack of grandpa's cigarettes, 
[01:22.11]I struck a match, and held that first one to my lips, 
[01:28.41]And prayed to God please let me get away with this, 
[01:33.84]And through the smoke, I saw grandpa standing there.

[01:40.08]Make no mistake, every prayer you pray,

[03:12.51]but selfishly I prayed that God would keep him hanging on,
