I'm pretty sure that you had a plan
Or at least you had the upper hand
In a situation out of my control
I'm becoming more aware of the things that I don't know
This reality check has left me second guessing
It's like I'm watching life undressing in front of me and I don't like what I see
But you got a way with words
And you swear it doesn't hurt
That you found god
And I found another reason
So I put it simply I miss you
I miss the way you smile
I miss the way you laugh
And I'm sorry that I couldn't say it better than that
You tried to tell me that it's out of our hands
That somebody else already has a plan
You told me calmly it's in his control
And to not be afraid of the things that I don't know
Now I'm at a loss for words
