The Light - Soft Fangs

it follows me around
like a dog that won't calm down
well i nearly lost my head
way back when
and i remember something you said
death is an idea
and it won't make a difference when you're not here
running around high on speed
you're convinced of everything
but when the light comes
who will you see
are you unimpressed by the voices in your head
never asking permission, before cutting in
on a conversation about giving up
there was an infinite difference
and it tore us apart
and death may seem ideal
cause you won't feel nothing like you do right now
and i know you're running scared
from an endless list of fears
but when the light comes
turn around and stare
