Was it always this way ?
How could i not see it happen -
How could it catch up so ruthlessly
Quick and steady,when i'm not ready ?
How come it's taken so long ?
I have no answers to sell you -
How come the smiles have all turned into frowns,
Unfeeling - self revealing ?
Bringing this otherness,opening the door
To some other place that i've not known before
Blurred 'round the edges,stripped to the core -
The fantasy just can't sustain it no more
Was it always this late ?
Where did time take a shortcut -
Where are the tracks of the hours inbetween
When life was waiting for us ?
Stuck in this otherness that's opened the door

Thrown out of synch like some old acidhead
Awoken from dreams to find nightmares instead
The night is all around me,
